Friday night was a first birthday party like no other!
Adelaide’s quirky Thrift Shop Bar turned one last week and celebrated like any bar should. With a Motown theme to match the charismatic venue and the weather on their side, Thrift Shop Bar threw one heck of a party. The alcohol was flowing, Motown records were in abundance and the company was next to none.
The funky bar emerged onto the Adelaide small bar scene last year and has experienced nothing but success in their short time. With an eclectic style, vintage tunes and a 100% Australian Spirit and Cocktail menu, it is no surprise that the bar has such a large loyal following.
The bar is exceptional, and their birthday bash did not fail to impress. Greeted by smiling faces, a free cocktail and delicious local nibbles, the vibe was very easy-going and snug.
We immediately understood why Thrift Shop Bar is the bar of choice for so many, they go to soak up the charisma. Thrift Shop Bar is truly an oasis, an escape from the hustle and bustle of the CBD.
With a South Australian Gin pop up bar, there was the opportunity to taste an array of South Australian gins. From Sacha La Forgia from Adelaide Hills Distillery to Laura and Brendon Carter from Applewood Distillery the list of gins on offer was extensive.
Wine tastings from McLaren Vale’s, Down the Rabbit Hole Wines, Nibbles including Adelaide Hills Section 28 Cheeses and a Motown inspired soundtrack from DJ Jasonlee were also included in the night.
An absolute haven, Thrift Shop Bar is a venue you must visit in your travels. The intriguing interior, divine menu and welcoming staff are the perfect combination for a relaxing night with friends.
